Been about you, still about you

If you hold my hand...

By JS WhitePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I know its been said many times before

"If you hold my hand, I'll hold yours"

Let's share chips and cookies and roast some s'mores

At a bonfire for two somewhere along the shore

No TV and phones are only for our favorite tunes

We'll get there at midnight and gaze at moon

The breeze off the water is crisp and cool

So I brought two blankets and both are for you

We can tell stories or we can just talk

Or we can get up and just go for a walk

It doesn't really matter to me what we do

As long as I'm doing that something with you

My thoughts go blank as I stare in your eyes

Been about you, still about you I can't lie

So believe me when I say, after all this time

I'll hold your hand, if you hold mine
