Because A Rock Crashed

After the asteroid hit.

It was bright

then it was dark.

The ground is now the sky,

because a rock crashed

and blinded the sun.

Mommy was here,

now she is not.

The cloud shallowed her up

because a rock crashed

and tossed up the ground.

Green is brown

and brown is death.

I am hungry but there isn't food anymore

because a rock crashed

blinding the sun which killed the plants.

My stomach is growling,

eating itself until there will be nothing left.

I am dying slowly

when I would have rather died quickly with Mommy

when the rock crashed.

Instead, I got to serve as a witness

to the blinded sun,

the shallowing cloud,

the green turning brown

and the rest of us starving.
