Never Underestimate An Old Man With A Guitar

Verse 1

Never underestimate an old man with a guitar,

He’ll drink you under tables and out‑pick you at the bar.

He looks like he’s retired, but don’t you be misled,

He’ll steal your crowd, your whiskey, and your girlfriend if you’re not three steps ahead.

Chorus

He’s got fire in his fingers and mischief in his smile,

A lifetime full of trouble stacked up further than a country‑mile

You can call him past his prime, but he’ll outplay you by far,

So never underestimate an old man with a guitar.

No, don't ever underestimate an old mn with a guitar

Verse 2

He’s got boots older than you and stories twice as wild,

He’s been a saint, a sinner, and a honky‑tonk exile.

You think you’ve got the swagger, think you’re some big star,

But he’ll shut the whole place down with three chords on his guitar.

Chorus

He’s got fire in his fingers and mischief in his smile,

A lifetime full of trouble stacked up country‑mile by mile.

You can call him past his prime, but he’ll outplay you by far,

So never underestimate an old man with a guitar.

Bridge

He’ll take your solo, take your spotlight, take your beer and take your pride,

And he’ll grin while you’re standin’ there with your jaw open hangin’ wide.

Chorus

He’s got fire in his fingers and mischief in his smile,

A lifetime full of trouble stacked up country‑mile by mile.

You can call him past his prime, but he’ll outplay you by far,

So never underestimate an old man with a guitar.
