She moves with ease
Elegant
yet simple
like the breeze
She trickles along
sometimes fast
Sometimes slow
one could never
control her flow
She continues to roam
As if no place ever felt
good enough
to be called her home
Still
she remains
never alone
For her rivers
run wide
Surrounded by
rocks and dirt
Don't you dare
mistake
her
for someone
who
doesn't know their worth
For her rivers
run deep
Full of abundance
many will seek
She is transparent
when she looks at me
For all I see
staring back
is a reflection
behind a mask
I wonder when I dive
into her infinite waters
Will I make a splash?
