Backstabber

(For anyone who's ever been badly hurt by someone they once trusted)

My blood slowly begins to boil,

Twisted screams are heard,

Clenching my teeth

I hold it all in.

Emotions bottle up inside of me,

Betrayal eats away at my soul,

Lies smother me until...

I. can. no. longer. breathe.

& fake smiles and hugs rip my heart out

As my feelings are shoved

Through a paper shredder.

I cry tears of acid,

My face burns with hatred,

Thinking what I did to deserve all this,

Where I went wrong...

I glance over at broken guitar strings,

Moaning in never-ending agony.

Clutching my ribs,

I race for the door.

Locked.

Here I am...

Trapped.

No way out

Of this hellish place

We call Earth.

And SHE stands there,

Blocking my path

My path to freedom

Laughing at me....

As if nothing has happened.

As if everything

Is just a big joke!
