NOTICE OF REVISED RESPONSIBILITY
Issued Without Ceremony or Apology
PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
Effective immediately, the following changes are hereby enacted.
A man previously classified as optional
has been reassigned as present.
This notice serves to clarify duties once assumed to be temporary,
now recognized as ongoing.
He will arrive early.
He will stay late.
He will attend events he does not fully understand
and learn the rules as they change.
He will provide transportation, food, silence, answers,
and the appearance of calm even when unqualified.
This is not a request.
All missed moments prior to this notice
are acknowledged but not recoverable.
No appeals will be accepted regarding lost time.
However, remediation efforts may begin at once.
The minor party referenced herein
may exhibit skepticism, guarded responses,
or the practiced independence of someone
who learned not to rely on announcements like this before.
These reactions are to be expected
and must not be used as grounds for withdrawal.
Failure is permitted.
Quitting is not.
The man will learn to tie things that were already tied,
fix problems that cannot be fixed,
and show up for situations that do not include him directly
but require him anyway.
He will stand in doorways.
He will wait in parking lots.
He will listen without correcting the story.
This notice does not guarantee gratitude,
forgiveness, or visible results.
Progress may be slow, silent, or unacknowledged.
That does not invalidate the directive.
This announcement supersedes prior assumptions
that the role was conditional, reversible, or symbolic.
Compliance will be measured not by perfection
but by consistency.
Issued under the understanding
that some responsibilities are not assigned,
they are claimed, late, and upheld quietly.
This notice remains in effect indefinitely.
