My love

You say you hate me

I know not one bit of that is true

I know I said the wrong things

Are you sure this is what you want?

I know what you tell yourself,

but we were in love once

Misunderstood

Fell into the fire

I was trying to hold you up

Even when my arms were getting tired

My love backfired

My love backfired

You intimidate me in the best way, and I knew

I'd spend the rest of my life

Hopelessly wanting you

I'll meet you on the front

I know you're hurt,

but we were as one once,

and I know you loved me too

Misunderstood

Fell into the fire

I tried to hold you up

Even when my arms were getting tired

My love backfired

My love backfired
