Insight to the mind of an oversized child

By Bishop ColdingPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Black, it's the color of my skin

That represents the end, but to me it only begins

As life starts anew like a morning filled with dew

An adventure is awaiting, throw on your hoodie, for it all to end too soon

Indigo shows the world that royalty is old

But to me I only see that beauty which it beholds

In lavishing lavender living vicariously through my soul

The one I'll never sell for a small piece of gold

Scarlets for the harlets that loiter in my mind

That leave their cherry kisses on my brain reaching its prime

Oh, The way they steal my heart it should be a crime!

But they dont know that they can’t manipulate me, the power’s all mine

Hazel is the color of my eyes

That watches the melodies of the earth dance in disguise

I play 88 keys and they play me,

The same way The Fates spin their infinite Keys

Orange breaks the door hinge to the entrance of impossibilities

Is it a Fruit or a color? Oh the complexity is vexing to me!

Multiple definitions to define a concept

Like how I imagine my soul and personality to it’s depths

Pink represents women and feminine things

Many men despise it, but I embrace it with glee

Because pink is the color of the flesh on my bones

A balance of both sex allows me to take on the world alone

Even without my sight, I can see the world in its vibrant brilliance

The many colors add wonder to the eyes of its children

And as the child of the Earth, I’m ready to witness all of its secrets

The secret that everything has a meaning, and I shall be the one to keep it
