Autumn sun sinks its tired head,
Nightly creepy crawlers sing their lullaby,
Barn Owls add soft hoots to the nightly song.
Walking my leaf-covered lawn,
Gazing up at the pink cotton candy clouds
spread like a baby's blanket across the sky.
Crisp winds washes my face,
brings cents of dried moss, decaying leaves and wet grass.
Going to bed with Autumn's perfume,
a comfortable embrace.

Wonderful poem Daph, well done ☺
So beautiful, Daphsam!
This felt soooo wonderful! Loved your poem!
This one hits all the senses. Nicely done, Daph!
I love how you express the seasons in your poetry, Beautiful, and i wish I could see a barn owl.
Don't know if this is the right word for this poem, but here it is this is a very charming poem for autumn no matter what time of day it happens to me.
