As time demands

A poem

Your fading away like frost on the window pane

As time demands seasons to change.

Lady death becomes the maidan of spring

But something still must be laid to rest.

Some lights begin to flicker out

For souls were meant to fly like doves

Learn to grow their wings

So they can one day fly away.

I want you to stay while I grow wings

So we can fly away

Because I’m worried of being left alone

As these changes come and grow.

But souls are meant to come and go

And I’ll soon know more as I continue to grow

Yet time does not slow,

Ratter speeds past when it time for you to finally go

And you must go

And I cannot follow
