Get rid of your phone,
And your computer too.
Otherwise they’ll be able to track you.
Leave behind your cards,
And take out some money if you must.
If you can, make sure you made some plan.
Large withdrawals can tip them off,
And I’m afraid you may be caught.
I’d leave behind all personal effects,
If you really want to leave what could you possible need?
But if you must, chose only one.
Leave at the time you normally would,
Make it as normal and seamless,
Before you slip into thin air.
Just leave around lunch,
And make as much distance as you can,
You’ve got less time then you think.
Before someone notices you’ve gone void,
But if you can drop everything and run before your feet go cold.

Nice work, Lane! Honestly, I have days like this, when I wish I could leave it all behind and go far away where no one knows me.
This reminds me of the contest I once saw to show how long someone could day off the grid without being caught (it was in Wired Magazine). Nice work!
