I rest my head against the window
I'm a passenger in the car.
As the steady rain beats down against the window
I listen to the tempo of every rain drop that raps the window
My gaze moves forward until it falls on the wipers.
Back and forth, back and forth
I follow their tempo almost hypnotically
as we travel down the highway
My gaze falls back to my window as it follows the edge of the road
further and further towards the unfamiliar
I smile and long for the places I'll likely never be
Places I might never see again
A deep curiosity of every shop, restaurant, and house
Ones as unique as those back home
I dream of what it's like to live here, to stroll along these streets
My dreams end abruptly as we take our exit off the highway

"You find travel exciting. That’s wonderful! For me, traveling is more of a boring and exhausting thing. Hardly anything excites me during traveling. You have written it in a very amazing way.
Awesome and inspirational!!! Love it!!!♥♥♥
