We read Marie’s story
of being plagiarized,
by a fraud.
It’s very true.
It's happening
in diverse forms,
as if, its the norm.
I sense many fake accounts,
They post as if,
they are prolific writers,
but can’t share a single,
insightful comment,
they have no insight,
to meaningfully respond.
For me, a good writer
shares own experiences,
adds value to the topic.
Anyway, on Medium,
there was a guy
with a profile photo
in a leather jacket and sunglasses—
a fake persona,
trying to be charming.
He made himself an editor,
though unqualified,
to network unethically,
and kept getting boosts,
substantial earnings.
The easy way to earn,
sit in front of a laptop
copy-paste from others.
or from chatbot like ChatGPT.
My intuition made me,
ignore him.
He tried to flood me,
with likes.
We humans are gullible,
softened by acceptance,
but I hated it,
and blocked for good.
True writers,
need to stay vigilant.
We have limited time,
and we must support
authentic peers.
Let’s remember—
our energy and attention
should back the right reason.
Some are exploiting
even creative writing spaces,
in frustration, brazenly,
let’s not tolerate.
Let's report and expose,
such platform scourges.
