As Artificial Scents are Making Us Sick

They are hormone mimics and inflammatory agents

I am an artist and a scientist—

a naturalist too.

I am not in the show business,

marketing, or corporate fields.

My alliance lies in honesty,

not in lies and hypocrisy.

So when I see the latter

tainting society, my heart bleeds.

They aim for going to heaven

after all these sins!

In my kid’s school,

I noticed a poster on the wall:

No nuts, for kids may be allergic.

I respect that rule,

anaphylaxis can be deadly.

But what about

the strong artificial scents,

you're drenching the air with?

It’s horror to breathe,

those poison cocktails.

Hormones are getting messy—

it's hell for all,

but riskier for those

with asthma and eczema,

I feel so sorry for the kids.

The expensive school is based,

on philosophies of

children learning in nature.

But all that’s lost in translation,

all I see is inflammation.

They outsource cleaning jobs

to crews with zero knowledge

of human health.

The cleaning agents are

highly toxic, hormone mimics,

potent to make people sick.

Nuts are a big issue for them,

but harsh chemical scents are not?

It's a joke, partial information!

I see this chemical inferno

gradually eating away

the wellbeing of us all.

Very few are ready to listen,

blinded by consumption,

shackled by peer influence chain.

Wake up before it's too late,

the immune system does not wait.

You are so right, but schools and cleaning they have to find companies that fit in their budgets for janitorial services. If I remember even back in the 70's when I was in school my teacher had room fresheners as well as wipes to wipe down desks even though they were probably not natural I am now 60 and still around. Teachers and custodians can only do so much with what they have. Good job.
