Would there be anyone else I'd choose than him

Apollo, leader of the muses, nine goddesses

of music, poetry, and archery

It does all makes sense; the connection

even weaknesses, nymphs, similar

More than just an arty sort,

Could bring plagues, diseases on

those who angered him

But in Spring's heart

He brought forth

as I—

Thanks for reading!

Apologies for late read and response! I've had to deal with things and wanted to be able to give the poems the attention and heads pace they deserved! This was so great! A really interesting take on things and love the vivid and strong depictions of all that Apollo rules over, but most of all, as you say so wonderfully, words! Which are our great gift. Thank you for entering my little challenge!

Excellent entry! Afraid I'm not clever enough to do the unofficial poetry challenges 😁

So clever, as always Paul!! Really showing off your skills with such a restrictive format and still being able to create a drawing piece!!

Loved this Paul! Loved Rachel's response reference the nymphs too. They were definitely a weakness for more than just Apollo. I loved the poem's finish!
