Art is a therapy,
free and without side effects.
Not many people understand it,
but I sure do.
I have been immersing in it
since I was a kid,
when I didn’t even know
what stress was.
Stress came in waves,
as is the hallmark of life,
but with art with me,
I managed to lower its intensity.
In the turbulent times,
I took refuge in art.
It offered self-expression,
bought me time,
gave perspective,
and made me feel unique.
So I encourage my kids
to embrace art
as early as possible
and till the end.
They do.
My little daughter draws and paints,
and I lovingly paste her work
in a notebook.
Such a joy for me,
and it will be a great gift
for her someday.
Embrace art,
and see the benefits.

How true you speak. When I was a nurse/activity assistant therapist I did a lot of art therapy meaning coloring, collage, painting and at times if the patients were able crafts were made. I really love to color and really enjoy sharing my colorings.
