Aqua Grove

A Color-Based Poem

By Talia DevoraPublished 6 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

A place to pray

a child's playground.

Like a chrysocolla plantation

bellflowers harvest on hyndrangea leaf towers.

Sky high turquoise shrubs

touching the powder teal vapors.

Like breathing figures, smelling the sour cedarwood haze

they reach for the robin egg morning stars.

Long and spiky like grass

the lands locks grow on the fell.

The shade of blue, the soft color of cyan

where dwarf azure angelicas bloom like blue flags.

The tranquil moonstone Eastertide

by the dewy apatite garden.

Fluorite bubbles float like ocean stones

and agate lily pads pose like water goddesses.

A hushed houseless cottage

where maya gossamers dance and play.

Blueberry crops and currant evergreens

to eat and feast like going on a picnic.
