Anxious Girl by Edina Jackson
Her Artistic Lens
Anxious Girl
A tremor beneath the surface,
always present, a low hum
that vibrates through bone and thought.
Not separate, but woven in,
a thread of shadow in the bright tapestry.
The world seen through a filter of "what if,"
edges sharpened, potential dangers highlighted.
Each breath a conscious act,
each interaction a tightrope walk.
Sleep offers no true escape,
dreams often mirroring the waking unease,
a restless landscape of worry.
But this very tension, this heightened awareness,
bleeds onto the canvas,
strokes thick with unspoken fears,
colors vibrating with inner turmoil.
The frantic energy channeled,
transformed into intricate detail,
a meticulous rendering of the unseen.
The quiet hum becomes a rhythm,
a pulse that dictates the flow of line and form.
The world interpreted, not softened,
but rendered raw, the vulnerability exposed.
The anxious girl's vision,
a stark and honest portrayal,
painting the world in shades of vulnerability,
a language understood by others who also feel
the tremor beneath their own surface.
She creates not in spite of, but through,
her constant companion, her artistic lens.
