Untethered Words by Edina Jackson
Creative thoughts wash through my mind daily
A quiet hum begins,
unbidden, from some unseen corner.
A flicker, like a pilot light igniting.
Shapes emerge from the fog,
not fully formed, but hinting
at possibilities.
A curve suggests a story's spine.
A sharp angle, a conflict's edge.
Colors bleed into each other,
a palette of feeling waiting for form.
Words drift, untethered,
seeking connection, a fragile bridge
between the inner landscape and the outer world.
Phrases whisper, half-formed sentences
that might blossom into paragraphs.
It is a restless energy,
a stirring in the mental soil.
Ideas sprout, some fragile and fleeting,
others with roots that dig deeper,
promising a more substantial growth.
There is a thrill in this nascent stage,
the raw potential, the unburdened freedom
before the constraints of structure and logic take hold.
A dance of intuition and half-seen visions.
The mind, a fertile ground,
where unexpected seeds take hold,
and the quiet hum grows,
a symphony of what could be.

Right now, I'm doing 100 articles in 30 days, this is day 12 of the challenge. I've published 20 articles in that time, and this is my 21st piece. I'm almost halfway through the challenge, so I have to step up my efforts to complete the 100 articles in 30 days. I know I can do it because I've done it before on Medium, and I'm fully focused on getting this done.
