It’s day 8 of my 100 articles in 30 days challenge, and I’ve published ten articles so far. Not as much as I’d like, but I do have a life outside of Vocal Media. I plan to get back on track with this challenge but I’m also working on a project for YouTube so, it’s a tight squeeze.

Anyway, I’m not here to make excuses, I’m here to get focused, and to get myself back on track with consistent writing, publishing, and engaging.

My goal for this challenge is to give myself a major creative boost, and to pull myself out of the rut that I’ve been in for a few months.

I have to admit, I’ve been through some dark times, and it’s been tough to get out of bed to create, but right now, I’m forcing myself to do it because I’ve noticed that when I don’t create, I feel worse, much worse. It’s this vicious, endless cycle that never stops.

I’m putting a stop to it.

For this challenge, I need to post at least three to four pieces a day to hit the target. Otherwise, I’ll fall short. Yes, I could do a 30 day challenge and post one article a day, but honestly, that’s too easy. I don’t want an easy challenge that will push me back into my lazy habits, and I can’t afford to do that.

I’m working on a creative healing challenge on YouTube as well where I post creative content daily. For this challenge, I’m mostly posting short videos, 30 or 60 seconds long at the most, and it’s fun and easy to do.

I thought about adding Medium to this challenge, but I’m not happy with Medium at the moment. They have all these rules, and writers are leaving the platform in their droves. I haven’t published on there in months, I think it’s been a year or more since I’ve published there.

Anyway, right now, my goal is to publish 100 pieces on Vocal in the next 30 days. I know I can do it because I’ve done it before on Medium. I also worked for a major newspaper in the UK where we submitted six well-researched articles each day, it was stressful to say the least, but I got it done; so really, this is a piece of cake.

Here’s how I plan to stay focused throughout this challenge :

  • Wake up at 4 am to start work
  • Stay focused with interval working, such as the Pomodoro Method, or the Flowtime Method.
  • Take breaks
  • Get an accountability partner –I have two accountability partners right now, we work online sometimes, but we need to create a consistent schedule.
  • Listen to binaural beats as I work
  • Meditate and speak affirmations, daily

Here are some affirmations for content creators:

I am a unique creator with valuable ideas to share.

My creativity flows effortlessly, and I am always inspired.

I trust the process and embrace the journey of growth.

Every piece of content I create connects with and adds value to my audience.

I am constantly improving and evolving in my craft.

I am proud of the work I create and the impact it has.

I trust my intuition and take bold steps in my content creation.

My voice is important, and my perspective is valuable.

I attract the right audience who appreciates and supports my work.

I am capable of overcoming any challenge that comes my way.

I am deserving of success and all the opportunities that come with it.

I am resilient and able to bounce back from setbacks.

I create content that is authentic and true to myself.

I am grateful for my creativity and the ability to share it with the world.

I celebrate every milestone, no matter how big or small.

Repeat these affirmations daily to stay motivated and focused on your goals!

“I am affirmations, but if you struggle with resistance and self-doubt, “askfirmations” will help you. Askfirmations are affirmations however, you ask a question instead of saying “I am.” Here are some examples to try for yourself:

This 100 articles in 30 days challenge is about more than just pushing myself creatively—it’s about pulling myself out of the rut I’ve been stuck in and reigniting my passion for content creation. While it hasn’t been easy, and I’ve had my fair share of challenges, I’m realizing that the more I create, the better I feel. So, I’m recommitting to staying focused, sticking to a consistent schedule, and using every tool I have—whether that’s early mornings, productivity techniques like Pomodoro, or leaning on my accountability partners for support.

This journey isn’t about achieving perfection. It’s about progress, trusting the process, and embracing every step, no matter how small. Each article I write, every piece of content I create, is one step closer to my goal. I’m learning to celebrate the wins along the way, and I know that by continuing to create, I’m not just healing creatively, but proving to myself that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

If you’re in a similar place, I encourage you to try these affirmations and askfirmations for yourself. Take that first step, even when it feels hard. Remember that creating is the key to breaking free from that cycle of self-doubt. Let’s keep pushing forward, one piece of content at a time, and celebrate the progress we make along the way.
