Begging for a chance in this twisted game,
Holding onto hope that I'll score someday,
'Cause my bitter mind has had enough,
Of feeling like I'll never fall in love,
I guess it turns out that the jokes on me,
For expecting it to come naturally,
Stuck on some ideal, lost in a daze,
Wholeheartedly a hopeless case,
When I finally start to think things through,
My mind just brings me back to you,
I get my hopes too high 'til I can't see,
That the only one at fault is me,
Turns out I don't know how to let things be
Without ending in animosity.
