I remember this one day
you asked for help,
help to choose a gift for your
friend.
You had this look in your eye as if to say
‘Casual, I’ll let you know I buy expensive’
‘Though never for you’
‘As I am unattainable’
Sweet boy, I am indeed naïve though,
not to the likes of you.
Sweet boy, as you are in fact, a mere boy.
I showed no interest in helping you select this gift
my thoughts already branded with another’s love
Feisty,
fishing
I suggested
‘Maybe try something in the sale section’
*GASP*
Drifting I caught my sweet boy catching onto my carelessness,
awareness.
Drifting he made his way to the sale section.
His words
‘So much animal print, why my love’
I say
‘Sweet boy. Women enjoy one of the two things, never both’
‘Will it be the sale section or the animal print?’
He chose both.
One foot in
one foot out.
Foolish boy, miserable in his sale section with his animal print.

I have barely read, have not listened to many.
Though am inspired enormously.
I begin by living, then find artistry in things that I resonate with.
