Angel of Death

Poem

By Desmond RazzanoPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Baby, you’re my shooting star,

When you get your wings, you’ve no need for cars.

It must’ve hurt when you fell straight from heaven,

And down to Earth in a matter of seconds.

You ceased my breath when you took it away.

My angel of death, won’t you come out and play?

Baby, you’re one of the Gods,

Which almost matters just as much as the thought.

If I close my eyes, I can feel your presence.

You’re the cure for a curse, the disguise of my blessings.

You stopped the heart you ripped from my chest.

I’m dying in your arms, sweet angel of death.

Baby, I’m needing new advice.

Give me new insights.

If I left right now, they’ll think it was suicide.

Those fickle currs cast a wicked curse.

I guess that’s why I’ve been so blue inside.

White war machines in the ozone layer.

I’m not one to leave, I’m more of a stayer.

It must’ve hurt when you dropped from the sky.

Rest my soul if I’m choosing to die.

Yo-yo your lust just to get me aroused.

My angel of death, won’t you show me around?

Tell me whatever you want me to say.

My angel of death, won’t you take me away?

Kiss me on the lips and away that I go.

According to Pennywise, one day we’ll all float.

Place your hands around my waist until you’re killing me.

Looks like I accidentally loved you, oh well, silly me.

I’d die to be with you, in peace doeth I rest.

I’m holding hands with my angel of death.

These black wings do not come with horns,

And not every rose is riddled with thorns.

Not even a priest is born with a bible.

I guess some things just don’t need a title.

Too many victims and not enough survivors lie down to rest.

Wrap me in your arms, dear angel of death.
