Angel Dust

if there was ever one thing I could do

and to be able to do it right

I would sprinkle angel dust

on those children at night

these children have no choice being born into their home

these children have no choice

being out there alone

if they too could pick a parent

you know what they would do?

for sure, they'd pick a parent

that was just as good as you

if you could open your eyes

and listen with an ear

the sounds that would replace

all the things that you would hear

counting your own blessings is always fine

and it's good for one and all

but praying for these children

is better when they call

having some angel dust

when you lay down and pray

just might save a child or two

and they'll live to see the morning day
