and it made me wild, wild at heart

Poetry inspired by a lana del rey lyric

By Dave CoastPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Red face denier

burning that blue mask in the white hot fire.

It made me wild, wild at heart

The quick hum of planes buzz overhead

while rustling palm trees awaken on the earth.

Reconnecting with the here and now

and it made me wild, wild at heart.

And it made me wild, wild at heart

Taking the northbound exit on the 101

escaping the burden of city life.

Finally free, I arrive with the rising sun

greeting my weathered face.

On my knees, howling with pleasure.

The sound of black leather rubbing together on the floor of a dark room.

Do it again and again and again

until I bloom.

And it made me wild, wild at heart.

it only took 7 deep playa sunrises to

make me wild, wild at heart.

Why did we waste so much time living asleep?
