And I'm Okay With That
It's Good To Be Humble
I’ve heard it said, and can it be
That only god could only make a tree
I’ve traveled far across the sea
Spent years and years perfecting me
Through many trials and tragedies
Saw good and bad in humanity
I paid my dues, with some for free
Some days I traded dignity
All to test my spirituality
And discover parts I've never seen
I've studied truths and philosophy
Seen studies on our biology
Found treasures vast and hidden keys
With a lot to see, and I've seen some things
I still fall humbly, on my knees
Cause when all's said and done, I must agree
that only god could make a tree

The phrase "only God can make a tree" is the final line of the poem "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer. It expresses the idea that while humans can create poems, only a divine power can create something as complex and beautiful as a tree. Kilmer's poem elevates the tree to a symbol of nature's divine creation, something that human effort, no matter how skillful, cannot replicate

One for the pot, Kelli. The words are clear, the rhyme is perfect - loved it.
What a honorable poem to a tree and God. Good job.
I loved this poem and its message. It was both simple and deep. Well done.
