Taking a lead from the beautiful Don Mclean song these are words for my Muse but you could read them to the one you love.
This is a semi sonnet , three lines of eight syllables , not rhyming closing with the final shorter line

I wake up every morning
You’re the only thing on my mind
I hold you in my arms my love

I love to taste your sweet kisses
My lips meet yours and we’re in love
Holding you close, pull me closer

Over the last few days I have been getting a physical feeling , I don’t know how to describe. My Muse asked me to tell her what it was and I couldn’t, I had no words for it. I know what was causing it . My love for her. It makes me feel good , I am feeling it now , but cannot describe it. Then I played “Seventeen Going Under” by Sam Fender (video at the end, watch it , filmed close to where I live and the lad is The Shields Springsteen) and that record gets better every time, and I got goose bumps and I got something of that feeling, that is what the love my Muse gives to me feels like, goose bumps without the goosebumps

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
