my work gear :)
I compose so many poems in my head while I work
but I don't stop to note them down.
The 10 cent I'd make with them is not worth the loss
of the euro I'd earn by the time it takes to write them down.
And so, I forget all of them by the end of the day
and I'm left with ones like this - full of regret for not stopping.
But then, I would get nothing done
cos my squirrel mind can never stop when it gets in the flow
and flow is all there is under my helmet
as my machine starts to hum and lulls me into altered states of mind.

Sometimes, when I sit down to write, I'm left with bits and pieces of multiple poems, and I string them into one.
Very relatable! Mine usually start spinning when I’m try to fall asleep. Ten cents indeed…hope you get a few more for this one! 😉
I think we've all been there, when a great idea hits us but we can't write it down... and then it's gone. 😔 And now you have me wishing to read all these poems of yours we're missing out on, haha! Also, great pic! Nice gear! And the title to this piece is perfection 😂
I love this, I can totally relate. I'm always thinking of things to write, but if I stopped to write them down, I'd be writing all day!
Cheers to that altered states of mind. Way to go girl. Nice honest lines. @Imola Tóth
Still a good poem. You should wear your helmet when writing.
So beautifully honest — that quiet battle between productivity and creativity is so real. The line “flow is all there is under my helmet” really stuck with me. It’s poetry born from motion, and that makes it even more powerful.
Sometimes while I try to sleep i think of one but then it leaves me
