In the palm of troubled hands, you lie,
Truth: silent stone, beneath the restless sky.
Smoothed by time, countless thoughts caressed,
You ease the mind, lay fears to rest.
*
Humble pebble, simple, small,
Yet in your grasp, the mightiest fall.
Anxieties that cloud the fractus mind,
In your embrace, their calm they find.
*
A river's dance upon rocky shore,
Has shaped your form, a tale of yore.
A balm to souls, in life’s tempest tossed,
With you, dear stone, no hope is lost.
*
When fingers trace your cool, flat plane,
A peace is found: a sweet refrain.
For every doubt and every tear,
You whisper, "Shh, I'm here, my dear”.
*
Ode to you, my steadfast guide,
In pockets deep and palms reside reside-
Worry stone, with silent might,
You turn my darkest days to light.
