an artist's rendering
a poem inspired by a snow Saturday

a blank canvas sits
until the artists become inspired
sketching out their journey
like invisible guides
in the snowy landscape
bringing the scenery to life
until the only thing missing is color
the brown bark of the barren tree
a multicolor scarf
billowing in the wind
failing to warm the snowman's neck
the iridescence of one artist's feathers
and me
the other artist
observing from the windows
but as much a part of the scene
as mother nature
for i draw what i see and feel
