We had our moments,

caught in the heat,

two bodies colliding,

each touch a thrill,

but never meant to last.

I didn’t want more—

just a taste of wild,

a fleeting attention

that made me feel alive.

Now, I sit in silence,

haunted by the guilt,

each thought a reminder

of the love I’ve hurt.

You saw forever in my eyes,

but I was just a moment,

a spark, not a flame.

I wish you could see

that you’re not in love with me—

not the real me.

I hope you find

someone who makes you whole

while I piece together

the fragments of my heart,

learning that pleasure

isn’t worth the price

of love lost.
