I won’t deny it—

I love the way you look at me,

The way your words, like honey, sweet,

Wrap me in their flattery.

But you’re with her, and I’m with him,

And though desire pulls me in,

I’d rather be, out of your view,

A forbidden fruit you’ll never pursue.
