Always Winter

A Micro Poem

By Amanda StarksPublished 11 months ago 1 min read
Made with CanvaPro.

You speak in flashes, I listen in perpetuity.

You shout for change, I whisper in stagnation.

You call to ask me to the spring concert, I look at the calendar:

It’s December.

Loved this! The contrasts were so well phrased but it had such a playful punch to it too!

A major difference, but a good balance. Excellent poem.

Oh boy, do I know that feeling...

  • Donchya know you gotta plan ahead, Amanda. I mean, obviously they believe you to be so popular that they have to book several months in advance in order to get some time with you.

  • Mind blown! Totally love this..
