I knew you were different from the moment my eyes of flame met your eyes of glass. They reminded me of the chimes at the market. The way their multicolored surfaces caught and refracted the light would bring such joy to even my most mundane of days.

I love that final line, "A heartbreak of two worlds made flesh." It's so beautiful yet also so ominous. I'll admit that this story more strikes me as sad than creepy, but it's a wonderful short tale nonetheless. Well done.

Oh this was so full of sadness underlying all the horror and fantasy and intrigue. Great little short. Great pace, great descriptions and love the way it ended. Well done, Amanda!
