Alone at Christmastims

Alone at Christmastime;

that is me most of the time,

people come and go, and

maybe say Merry Christmas or

happy new year; but mostly

just a look saying 'Who are you?'

Just wondering what you did wrong.

So a quiet Christmas is not so bad

even with being surrounded by family.

Being alone in a crowd;

but every once in awhile someone would say

ask something of you, but for me it usually

means when will you be able to do something that

they need.

Alone at Christmas just lets me think of the past

and some of the old traditions that I do alone.

I guess it could be depressing, but I do not look at it

that way. Christmastime is a time for me to reflect

and to pray and ask for guidance in how to cope.

To be honest it is hard when everyone is hugging and

smiling and most of the family seem to walk right by you

without even a smile.

I still give everyone a gift no matter how they treat me

throughout the year, maybe one day they will notice what

I really do for them, but I really do not think that they will

remember. Not so bad be alone at Christmastime, really.

Merry Christmas, everyone?!
