Among the crowd, I drift unseen,
a ghost within this bustling scene.
Their laughter echoes, voices rise,
yet silence holds me, wrapped in disguise.
A sea of faces, blurred and bright,
their warmth, to me, feels out of sight.
I reach, but hands don’t meet my own,
a fleeting grasp, then left alone.
They share their stories, dreams unfold,
their words like treasures cast in gold.
But mine stay hidden, locked away,
a fragile song I dare not play.
How can I feel so lost, so small,
when I'm surrounded by it all?
A thousand lights, a thousand hearts,
yet here I stand, set apart.
But in this quiet, I begin to see,
a tender truth inside of me.
Connection isn’t just their call,
it starts within, or not at all.
So I breathe deep, embrace my space,
and let the world unfold with grace.
For though I walk alone tonight,
my shadow dances in the light.
