Alone

Broken Bottles

By The Girl in GreyPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

She's a broken heart in a bottle

In the mouth of an angel's corpse

Between thrusts and pick-up throttles

Every night on the dragon & horse

She awaits the moment the pieces flood

Between the cracks of that precious glass

So sick of the pain, she's had enough

Continuing to make stay in the past

Now all she grasps are those lovely words

All she has is the Siren's Song

They keep rubbing salt in what already hurts

Cursed or blessed with the right and wrong?

She taps on the inside of an empty potion

Awaiting for the angel to awaken once again

For that hero trying to set back in motion

To no longer pay for their wicked sins

Go, she has waited in that cage for so long

She has done her due time to fall apart

How many idiots must she wait on?

Just for the flailed out healing to start?

She doesn't trust them, she can't hear You

Been on her own since day 1, never forgot

Tell her that You can hear her at night, too

Don't let it be true that the mermaid is caught

With one scream, the glass shatters

The lungs of an angel are once again full

The moon and sky at her back are all that matters

Shining brighter between the hearts that are dull

No one fucking saved me

I did that shit on my own

No longer bound in mental slavery

Because I've always known

How to be alone

Love Always,

Chayle
