We trip over the urge of feeling alive

like it's something that could be discovered

But desire sees love, with fate's mismatched eyes

till blue puddles distort and discolor

She was more lovely than a flower bouquet

during a phase of mid summer apathy

Though I knew it was best, I could not walk away

her roots were buried deep inside the heart of me

I loved her in a way that is too hard to mention

like a god pouring over his creation

Fine tuning each part with the best of intentions

I loved her to the point of invention

Fades to the prompt beautifully at the end.

  • But did you find the two of you to be in tune with each other?

The description of love here is intense. Reminds me of when I felt that way about a project at work. Pouring my all into it, making it the best I could.
