A colorful rocks waits patiently,

rolling around ever so silently.

Flowing gently with every wave,

keeping closed its ravenous cave.

It stays in hiding all of its life,

avoiding any unwanted strife.

Waiting till dark it soon makes it move,

leaving its perch with a meticulous groove.

Finding its spot is quite the task,

when hiding in sight with natures mask.

Many will fall to its fatal charm,

which gives no hind of any harm.

Enticing with lures that dance in front,

it brings a death that's cold and blunt.

Successful is he who sits and waits,

for dinner runs up to his wide open plates.
