They Stole MY POEMS
My heart is not just aching,
it’s bruised,
blackened by the greed of a stranger
who took what was never theirs.
They shop lifted my 2 poems
like whispers from a grave,
and paraded them
as if they knew my pain.
They do not know
the time it took-
to write those lines.
how each word cost me
a little bit of breath.
They don’t see
the hours I bled through Ink,
or how my sorrow found shape
in every verse.
They posted my truth
with their name on top,
as if their hands
had ever trembled
over these keys.
As if they cried real tears
and not me.
Two poems,
stripped from my soul
and clothed in lies.
I’ve reported it.
I fight with the only weapon I own:
truth.

However it is sad,
it’s a different kind of wound,
watching my voice
leave my body
and come back wearing
someone else’s face.
Shame on them.
Let the world see,
a stolen poem
is a horrible thing.
It might echo for them,
but it will never sing.

They can try to steal your poetry but no one can steal the heart that the words flow from or the truth. Justice tarries but not forever…. 💛

I see this scumbag has also stolen one of Paul Stewart's Top Stories - Anti-septic. We shouldn't be surprised because corruption and dishonesty are everywhere. It's very sad to hear that the Vocal has such a bad person who stole your poem as her/his. That is truly a Violation according to the Vocal guideline, you must raise this issue with the Vocal team.

I am so sorry this happened to you! This is such a violation! Your poem about this is brilliant. "watching my voice leave my body and come back wearing someone else’s face." Those lines are exceptional! So if there is a silver lining to this it is the powerful piece you have created here. Now I'll go report that poem, if it's still up.
