Oh, Happy Day!
The sun is up, the sky is gold,
A story fresh, a day untold.
It waves hello with shining rays,
And dances through the morning haze.
A giggle in the light it throws,
A wink beside the blushing rose.
The breeze is humming cheerful tunes,
And painting blue across the dunes.
Oh, happy day! The world feels new,
With skies so clear and fields so true.
The rivers sparkle, trees all sway,
To greet the joy that starts today.
No storm, no shadow dares to stay,
When sunshine laughs and leads the way.
The flowers stretch, the robins sing—
What happiness the dawn can bring!
So rise and smile, shake off the night,
Let every moment feel just right.
Today’s a gift wrapped up in cheer.
Oh, happy day, you’re finally here!

Winter Up High
Upon the North, where winter holds its sway, The frigid nights descend with solemn grace, A silent, diamond dust along the way, And moonbeams carve the shadows of the place. The wind, a ghost that whispers through the pines, Doth chill the very breath that leaves the lip, The ground is bound by frosted, silver lines, And stars, like scattered jewels, their vigil keep. The long dark hours demand a sheltered rest, Where firelight dances on the hearth's warm stones, And weary souls are welcomed to the nest, To chase the biting cold from blood and bones. Yet in this chill, a stark, pure beauty lies, Reflected in the vast and endless skies.
