All These Things

φύλαξ (phúlax) Protector, Sentinel, Guardian, Keeper

By Colleen WaltersPublished 9 months ago Updated 9 months ago 1 min read

Got my coffee in one hand

and Your Book in the other

for the battles I fight

I fight with these

Long days bleed into late nights

but the Lord is my Shepherd

a glimpse of lush safe pasture

to lay on a clear sunny day

He leads me to still waters

by ceasing my salty rapids

I trust so completely that

the shadows shirk their pall

at the sight of His rod and staff

and I know that I'm safe

as I sit at the table that He has

made ready for me

the enemy stops midstep

the anointing oil

on my head trickles

down my hair into

my cup of Light

and blinds them

so that they can see

that I can't be diverted

from the path that

He gave me a map to.

I'll stay at His house

Forever.

Amen.

+ + +

"Amen" means "truly", "verily" or "so be it" in both ancient Hebrew and Greek. When we say "Amen", we are proclaiming it to be so. The intentional last word in the Bible.

“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭22‬:‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
