All for you

What do you get that special someone who (deserves) everything?

All for you

You know those lights in the night time sky

Are only there for you

You can sit and watch them spin

And see they're centered on you too

So twinkle twinkle little star

You shine no matter what you do

Don’t let nobody tell you nothin’

Don't let nobody smudge your view

Cuz lots of things stink in this world,

But never-ever your saintly poo

Everything you do is right

Everything you do is fine

I know you "know" it's true

And it's just so amazing

How you've never made any mistakes

I wish I could be perfect just like you

And I'm sorry you're not as rich and pampered as you deserve

I only hope one day you get what's due

The flower reference at the end adds a nice touch, symbolizing the narcissist's self-love, making the poem both lighthearted and pointed. This poem cleverly uses humor and irony to deliver a sharp critique of narcissism.

  • Oh wow, after reading your Author's Notes, I had to reread your poem from the perspective. I gotta admit, you got me good. Loved your poem!

I thought this was going to be a romantic poem for a second! Ha! Love that line - don't let nobody smudge your view. Great stuff.

I should’ve known that this was going to be a, throwing shade kind of vibe, even if it’s not aimed at anyone in specific. But I let it go over my head, and then, in doing that; your AN, sounded hilarious after I read it. I did get that: written for a child kind of vibe. But then that’s even more of an insult. A grown adult being seen/ treated like a child because of their narcissistic tendencies 💭 With that being said, this was a solid piece because I like shades, thrown in poetry. 👌🏽👏🏽
