Rainbow
Bronze wars cast stones
Drawn up to giants
In roads
Dressed in black tails and togas
Pale feather boas
Tie dye your white coats
Author's note: I wanted to write a short poem as this competition appeared on my socials stream after I posted my featured video. I thought about Greek myths and the Colossus of Rhodes while writing: history and the imagined as useful escapism. Left out when it got involved with prisms and sunbeams, succinct is sometimes more interesting. I know the requirements asked for longer, I still hope there’s a small place to feature it anyway. Is this 100 words?
