Agate
All is not lost
Fortuitous glint
of continuous light
Rising song of Saturn’s daughter
Well of shores
Capture of sun
The sun saves itself in you
Beginning of fascination…
And translucent questions
Why do you love me?
Answers split and curl
Banded wisps of smoke—
Your answers are a collection of questions
What is the shapeless want?
It shifts like a flame
Now, our only hour?
You precede and endure
Why are we haunted?
The past is all that we know
Slant through which we see our past
Its blue burning still with shards of orange,
Time disappears in you
What lies on the other side of time?
The other side is inside
Voice within voices
Shadow made of smaller shadows
Many eyes shining out of your iris
Light—continues
Forever?
I see through your windows
within windows
to windows
There is truth
Where?
The ruined waves of the sky are shattered,
The ruins of the sky are shattered waves,
The ruins of the sky shatter in waves
Stacking up—subduction
Palace upon palace
Crystal tectonic crushing
Syllables of stone
Or syllogism?
God is love
Your face
Rinsed in colors
Ruby light in your tide pools
Black moss in your fissures
Lavender shouts of sun
across your liquid landscapes
Raining shared joy
Wandering through each other's dreams
Finding and being found
One out of the multitudes
Sunk under so many
Waiting—
For a fortuitous glint
Of continuous light
