Blow out the candles,

All twenty-five of them.

Just don’t catch your hair on fire.

Let us enjoy the cake,

Then unwrap your presents,

To see what we got for you.

We’ll then go out with your friends,

Where I’ll show you off.

What do you think, little sis?

***

I wish I could celebrate your birthday with you,

Hug you, take pictures with you,

Make memories.

But sadly, you’re not here.

You’ll never be here,

So all I can do is hold you in my heart.

Happy Birthday, sis.
