Adrift in Serenity

When I study a picture, this is what spills out of me.

Set adrift

to a land

of quiet,

peaceful winds

that create a space

for me to breathe,

dream,

and simple be.

**

Where Jasmine clings to my senses,

filling my soul,

with joy that spreads,

wild and free,

through my body

like a field of untamed blooms.

**

Keep ing me there,

in the tranquil arena,

where the butterfly wings whisper,

the only sound I hear.

**

Let the honeyed sun,

warm my skin,

like a lover's embrace.

**

But must is stay,

a fragile illusion,

painted in fleeting words?

could I take this scene,

this sanctuary,

into my daily life,

to blot out the ugly truths,

of a mind too often,

shadowed by fear,

playing chess games with pain,

and chilled by the biting winds,

of uncertainty.

**

If only my happy place,

could remain untouched,

unlittered by the ashes,

of negativity,

a garden radiant,

forever blooming.

The contrast between the tranquil haven and the harsh realities of fear and pain is beautifully conveyed, making your desire for an untouched, ever-blooming garden resonate deeply.
