Tis’ the season of

acceptances and adjustments

to my body’s needs,

to my adult children’s needs,

to not being needed as much,

to my four dogs’ needs,

to the new political environment,

to the way people react,

to the way I react,

to daily life’s challenges,

to staying present,

to the weather’s unpredictability.

To the uncertainty.

…

-yes, that one word.

it’s like a heavy weight that

threats to drown me.

but I refuse to allow

this to get me

as I read

for the Floaties

that say…...ACCEPT AND ADJUST
