Acid Rain Frazzled My Brain

At least I think it did

Acid Rain Frazzled My Brain

Acid rain ruined my brain

it flooded my thoughts,

now nothings the same.

dripped through the cracks,

where logic once sat

burned every map,

so I can’t go back.

left me adrift in a steam.

A thick haze,

counting the ghosts

of my better days

like ink in a puddle,

my memory runs

smeared by the weight

of invisible suns

I speak in sparks,

in jumbled refrain

a symphony,

scorched by chemical rain

The mirror won’t answer,

it spits out lies,

a face I don’t know

with blackout eyes.

I claw at the silence,

but silence bites

feeding on me through

the dark endless nights.

what once was a whisper

now drills through bone

acid don’t kill you,

it makes you its own
