Good intentions do not absolve you

of the consequences unintended.

Ignoring that tarnishes your good heart.

*

Selfish choices scream validation due

from all those unaware left upended.

Good intentions do not absolve you

*

of hurtful means used to manage wounds

of needs left silently unattended.

Ignoring that tarnishes your good heart.

*

For the bleeding pain of ignorant fools

will never justify time suspended.

Good intentions do not absolve you

*

responsibility of planned gene pools,

leaving mindful development stunted.

Ignoring that tarnishes your good heart.

*

Your coloring should not leave black and blue

bruises on the small world you’ve offended.

Good intentions do not absolve you,

Ignoring that tarnishes your good heart.
